Autonomy in tight spaces

Filics Streamliner – the double-runner system for horizontal autonomous pallet transport.

Challenge

When transport becomes the bottleneck.

In intralogistics, transport itself is rarely the problem – it is how it is executed. Conventional forklift systems require space, turning maneuvers, and manual intervention. This reduces efficiency, ties up personnel, and prevents automation in existing facilities:

  • Significant time loss due to maneuvering and turning
  • Oversized travel paths and inefficient floor space utilization
  • Manual handovers and error-prone processes
  • High personnel effort for non-value added tasks

Two runners.

A new way of moving.

Solution

The Filics Streamliner

The Filics Streamliner is an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) designed for floor-level pallet transport in production and intralogistics environments. The design enables material to flow as it is, without requiring changes to existing processes, buildings or layouts.

At the core of the solution is an autonomous double-runner system: two ultra-flat, independent vehicles that move underneath pallets, lift them from below and transport them directly without turning, maneuvering or repositioning.

Filics Streamliner

Key strengths at a glance

Maximum space utilization

Smallest turning radius, minimal footprint, and operation in extremely narrow aisles. More pallets on the same floor space – without unnecessary parking or staging areas.

Flexible
scalability

The compact design and low system weight make it easy to scale the fleet up or down. Transport, integration, and system adjustments require minimal logistical effort.

Load carrier compatibility

Moves underneath and transports a wide range of floor-based load carriers such as Euro pallets. A unified hardware platform reduces complexity in operation, maintenance, and service.

Direct movements without detours

No maneuvering or 180° turns required. The ability to enter and exit load carriers from both sides enables shorter travel paths and faster processes.

Optimal
accessibility

Since the Streamliner lifts pallets from below, they remain accessible from all sides. No fixed front orientation is required – increasing flexibility and ergonomics in daily operations.

Parallel process performance

The small footprint allows multiple vehicles to operate simultaneously in narrow aisles. This enables greater parallelization of material flows – without additional infrastructure or warehouse expansion.
